Calafell and Coma-ruga: two boating references in Baix Penedès
This page covers the Calafell and Coma-ruga boating area without creating a geographic shortcut: Port Segur-Calafell is in the municipality of Calafell, while Club Nàutic Coma-ruga is in El Vendrell. They are different marinas and should be treated as such even though they are very close.

01 · THE MARINA
One area, two marinas and two different realities

The Baix Penedès coastline has two very close facilities that are often mixed together when people refer to the “Calafell marina”. Port Segur-Calafell is in Segur de Calafell and has its own dedicated guide; Club Nàutic Coma-ruga lies a few kilometres farther south, within El Vendrell.
The current Club Nàutic Coma-ruga website confirms harbour office, boatyard, water, fuel, crane, 24-hour marina staff, Wi-Fi, parking, CCTV, restaurant and diver services. It is smaller in scale than Segur-Calafell but provides a useful service base for many leisure boats.
Capacity figures are not fully consistent across sector sources: the 2025 Guía de Puertos publishes 220 berths and a maximum LOA of 18 metres, while Ports de Catalunya publishes 265 berths and the same 18-metre maximum. The Club website does not currently show one headline total on its public services page. For accuracy, this guide does not present either figure as absolute and recommends confirming current capacity with the Club.
For a used-boat purchase, this proximity can be useful because viewings and services can be coordinated along a very short stretch of coast. Nevertheless, a boat in Coma-ruga should not be advertised as if it were in Segur-Calafell, or vice versa: location is part of the commercial and logistical information of the transaction.
The area also has good road and rail links towards Barcelona and Tarragona, which can simplify travel for a buyer, surveyor or technicians. That operating advantage does not replace real planning of access, haul-out and sea trial.
